This semester-long project was about creating a system of icons, a 2D design, and a zine involving a topic of choice. My project involved spreading awareness about redlining and gentrification in Boston, and specifically how Northeastern contributes to gentrification in the Roxbury area.
Meaning of each icon (from left to right): Barries to access of loans for Black & Carribean people in Boston, Northeastern as a cause for the violent practice of gentrification, food deserts as product of redlining, a literal representation of redlining, and Northeastern's focus on profits for the school over the wellbeing of the community.
